Overview

Zima: Offline AI ("Zima", "the app", "we") is a fully on-device AI assistant developed by Zima Logistics LLC. This privacy policy explains how the app handles your information.

The complete answer: no personal data is collected, transmitted, or stored outside your device. All AI inference happens locally. No conversations, no queries, no usage data, and no identifiers are ever sent to any server.

Data We Do Not Collect

  • Conversation content or history
  • Device identifiers (IDFA, IDFV, or any persistent ID)
  • Location data
  • Usage analytics or telemetry
  • Crash reports (crashes fail silently; no report is sent)
  • Email addresses or account information (there is no account)
  • Payment details (handled entirely by Apple / Google; we never see them)

On-Device Processing

All AI model inference runs on your device's CPU and GPU using hardware-accelerated machine learning frameworks (Core ML on iOS, equivalent on Android). Conversations are stored in your device's local storage and are never uploaded anywhere.

Network access is used only to download model files (Nano, Plus, Pro) when you explicitly choose to download them. After download, the app functions with no network access.

Model Downloads

When you download a model, the file is transferred over HTTPS from our distribution servers. The download request includes standard HTTP metadata (IP address, device type in the user-agent string). We do not log or retain this data beyond standard server access logs, which are retained for 30 days for security purposes only.

In-App Purchases

Plus and Pro model upgrades are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We receive only a confirmation token indicating a purchase was successful — no payment details, card numbers, or billing information are ever shared with us.

Children's Privacy

Zima does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app contains no social features, no account creation, and no data collection, making it suitable for use by all ages. If you have concerns, contact us at the address below.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change how data is handled in a material way, we will update this page and note the change date above. The core commitment — no data collected, no data sent — will not change without prominent notice in the app.
